Mark T. Hurt

As a native Bristolian, Attorney Mark Hurt is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of his clients during times when they may need it the most, whether they or a family member has been injured, or they are facing a serious criminal charge, or they need to make critical estate planning decisions.

Mark earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and went on to earn his law degree from Duke University, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class. Mark practiced law with several large litigation law firms in Dallas, TX and Washington, D.C. after passing the bar, but he ultimately returning to the Tri-Cities area and opened his own firm.

For almost three decades, Mark has successfully represented hundreds of clients in a variety of legal matters as a Kingsport car accident lawyer. He is a skilled negotiator, having reached settlements for clients ranging from minor personal injury cases for thousands of dollars all the way up to multimillion-dollar settlements for major cases. Mark is also an accomplished litigator, with extensive experience trying cases in front of juries, as well as arguing appeals in Virginia, Tennessee, and federal courts. Mark has also twice argued cases before the United States Supreme Court.
